A significant local site

Level: Year 2

Topic: Past in the present – a significant local site

Learning sequence: The activities require students to look at how their school has changed over time. Students will also be able to develop their observation and deductive thinking skills by exploring their immediate environment. While the examples used focus on a particular school, the overall approach and most of the activities are readily adaptable for other schools or local sites.

Assessment activities: build towards an outcome that can be used for a final summative assessment.
